Abby is 20 Months old!

This is Abby during ice cream time the other night. Like Mama, like daughter right? Notice the chocolate ice cream streaming down both of her arms. She didn't want to miss a drop!



These are very Abby. She's long-legged and even though she still has a big toddler belly, her hips are suddenly slender. She's wearing 3T shirts and pants and many of them fit! She likes to explore on her own, walking off wherever we go. Here we were at the Eagles' Nest, a sandwich place on the Lake golf course, the other day. She walked off to touch the rocks and the next time I looked she had climbed up on top of the very unsteady pile, and was laughing as she teetered. Then she sat down to look carefully between the cracks for interesting things. She cried when I took her away to go home to nap.



This is also very Abby at 20 months. She adores Jake. She wakes up in the morning, saying "Jake, Jake Jake!" and asking where he is with her hands. She misses him when he's at school and likes to do everything he does, including use the computer. She has no idea what the mouse does but knows exactly how Jake looks when he moves it, so she was mimicking him here, studying the screen very intently to see if she was making anything happen.



She loves her new KinderMusik class, spending most of the time laughing and singing and running around the room. I think she just soaks up the energy from the other kids. And she follows instructions very well - taking toys and giving them back to the teacher quite willingly. She naps only about 2 hours a day and is not sleepy until 8:30pm, often complaining even then about not wanting to go to bed, and then settling after 5-15 mins. She's a boisterous handful!
