Whirlwind of a Week

This week we did a photoshoot for my friend Amee and her son Matthew, had a yardsale, took a sick and bleeding kitty to the vet, had a lovely visit from Grandma Lynne, spent some time at the playground with friends, hosted a playgroup where no one showed up, strolled around downtown and waited outside for a very slow to come lunch, went to buy fresh apples at an orchard on a mountaintop, celebrated Halloween, and suffered through Jake's very slow and painful adjustment to daylight savings time. He's still waking an hour early and becoming a bit nuts about an hour before each nap and bedtime.

Or it could be that he's 2!

Here are a few photos. Note the absense of Halloween costume shots. Because Jake refused to don either of his two costumes. But we went trick or treating on our block anyway (I dressed up) and he LOVED getting candy from people at their houses. He wanted to stop and eat each piece of chocolate that he got.

Jake has also become the master photographer. He picks up the camera and frames very carefully, moving as to get his subject right where he wants them if need be. It is amazing to watch how well he does it!
